The trail was in good condition. The tunnel at the end that accesses the beach was flooded, but the other than that it was in great shape.
For someone hiking this trail for the first time and perhaps a beginning hiker, there is a 425 foot elevation change, but 90% of that change is the first half mile. Be prepared for quite a climb back out.
