Hiked with a dog
Beautiful sunny day so we (Ellie Dog & I) decided to hike to Lake Wallace.
Started off the Startup-Sultan road and went up the logging road leading the lake. This follows the original road. I drove on it to the lake countless times in
my younger days. Some snow closer to the lake but nothing bad. Lake still has
snow and ice covering most of the lake. Good day for a hike.

Wolfwoman: From Hwy 2 turn left onto Startup-Sultan Road (last road left as you leave Startup) Go about 2 miles, look for a gated road on your right. It's a well used road with a wide turn-out. This is also point where people park and go to upper Olney Falls. Walk on the main road, about 1.5 miles the main road will turn to the left and the old road goes striaght, go straight you'll be walking on an unused road. You'll know if you went the correct way because you'll come to an old railroad flatcar bridge that spans Olney Creek. Go to the left after crossing the bridge, stay on the main road. Lake is maybe 3 miles from the bridge.
