A spectacular day
hike-clear trail and spectacular wildflowers. The hardest part was getting three 16 year olds up and going. We reached the trailhead at 12:15pm and completed the trip at 4:45pm-close to the guidebook prediction. The views are incredible of Rainier to the west and when you reach ""the knob"" you can see north and eastwards as well. It was also inspiring to meet two women in their mid-seventies tromping along with walking sticks, enthusiastically giving my son advice on what not to miss at the top. On a hot day at home, the temperature was perfection at this altitude. Carry your water is my only caveat!
