Travelled
trail #1571 to Chiwaukum Lake and #1591 to Larch Lake. Horses are allowed on #1571 but we didn't encounter any. Trail #1571 was brushy and dungeon-like for the first 7 1/2 miles then it got worse. The next two miles on #1591 was a challenging ascent and so brushy (and raining that day) it was miserable so bring clippers or prepare yourself. The best part was the 2 mile section of #1591 between Chiwaukum Lake and Larch Lake. Beautiful views and meadows, very peaceful. Only saw 6 people in 4 days. Lots of mosquitos.
