Hike: Lake Twentytwo - Lake 22
Region: North Cascades -- Mountain Loop Highway
Agency: Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest, Darrington Ranger District
Trails: Lake 22 (#702)
Avg Rating: 4.02

This popular trail was as busy
as ever while 17 WTA volunteers worked the first 1½ mi of trail. The work we did on the first portion of the trail last fall was still holding up well so we continued where we left off clearing drainage ditches, culverts and waterbars. We found two culverts ""clogged"" with empty beer bottles! The bridge over 22 Creek still has a portion of the handrail missing so be carefull crossing and keep your eyes on the little ones. There's still some snow just before and around the lake and the lake is still mostly frozen over.
