cleared except for snow the last 100 yds. the trail to the lake is findable, but the entire area is still above the snowline. Our search dog indicated the trail for us. The lake is still frozen, except for spots around the edges. All of the snow was hard, melting and easy walking. The ridge trail, at higher elevation appeared more challanging. At mid Sunday afternoon, we had the lake to ourselves for a picnic. We left wishing that we had chosen an overnightstay. Until more snow melts, this is a good day hike for people with intermediate navigational skills.
