My daughter and I
spent the day on and around Mt. Beljica. Besides the views (of Rainier, Adams and Saint Helens) there were tons of wildflowers. A short list includes Avalanche Lilies, Red Columbine, Bear Grass, Vanilla Leaf, Queens Cup, Columbia Lilies, False Solomon's Seal, Paintbrush, Rosy Twisted-Stalk, Cliff Penstemon, and Few-flowered Shooting Star. There was a log across the trail at .5 miles and a tree obstruction just below the summit. There are still patches of snow in places and the snow-melt can make the trail below these patches wet. We stayed on the trail, however rather than tromp the surrounding vegetation. Well worth a day hike.
