Be Aware Of
  • Blowdowns

Clear trail to just shy of Lake. WTA work parties there the week before have cut logs across except two step across and one under. Well-consolidated snow patches at the lake. Some clear ground for tents. Usual fight up to Pass involves alder, snow, scree and talus. Snow at Pass. Mary Green MUCH lower than in past and no longer extends into upper cirque. No parties have summitted since June by Ranger's report. In future years, risky climb until bolted in gulley left from former upper cirque, or hitting snow just right in early season.
