Hike: Little Si
Region: Snoqualmie Pass -- North Bend Area
Agency: Department of Natural Resources, South Puget Sound Region
Avg Rating: 3.38

Tried out the new DNR Little Si trail and new parking lot, with toilet. Greatly improved new trail with nice views the first 1/2 mile, a bit oversigned but throughly pleasant experience. DNR worked over trail even after new start doing much needed maintenance. Still a few rocky spots near end but overall a pleasant outing. Its about 3 miles one way, same elevation gain, and new parking lot is up Mt. Si Road from bridge about 300 feet. No bugs. Only water for animals is about a mile from start.(stream)Good work DNR.

Dog Mountain (May 23)

Dog Mountain

South Cascades

Head to Dog Mountain for Columbia River Gorge views and an explosion of wildflowers. Eager to get in shape for summer? Head straight up the mountain on the northern side. Take the slow and steady eastern flank trail to stop and smell the flowers. (See if you can spot recent work by WTA trail crews.)
