Be Aware Of
Blowdowns

Four of us went for a leisurely hike up the trail, sat at the lake for lunch, and then encountered numerous blow-downs just past the lake. I would personally consider parts unpassable but we were all in an adventurous mode and so crawled under, over, up and around some very large trees. At one of these areas we could not see the trail at all but it looked as if someone had hiked up and around the area and sure enough we found our way again. We wonder who will have to haul a large chain saw up the trail to cut through these areas.

Red Top Lookout

Snoqualmie Pass

Whether you're camping near Cle Elum or just want a prime picnic location for a short Saturday hike, you'll only have to climb a mile on this steep, easy-to-follow trail to get stunning views from a fire lookout (and cool alpine outhouse). It can be great for kids, but keep them close on the exposed summit.
