Shy Bear March walkway

Wilderness Creek Trail and Shy Bear Trail are in great shape. The trails are 99% dry but not dusty. The creeks are still running strong and provide great sounds as you climb up to Shy Bear Pass. Its very much all shade from the SR 900 parking lot through the Shy Bear marsh, making for a nice hike during this summer day. The Shy Bear marsh area still has some water, but its mostly mud. There are recently restored wooden walkways above the marsh. The metal mesh on the walkways was catching on my hiking boots - so be careful if you are walking fast. Found some Salmonberry on the Shy Bear trail right before the Deceiver Trail intersection.

Great basic hike for a summer day Wilderness Trail Creek Trailhead > Wilderness Creek Trail > Shy Bear Trail > return back
