Brush on the way up

Weekend hike up the Little Wenatchee Trail #1525 to Meander Meadows, Kodak Peak, PCT South to Cady Ridge #1532 back to the car, see seperate post for Cady Ridge report.

Little Wenatchee trail ascends gently. It is brush as advertised, the dew quickly soaked us (hiking gators suggested to keep water out of boots). It is quite pretty. Northwest Youth Corp is doing a multi-week trail project on the trail. The bugs were formidable due to rain, late melt out of last winters snow. Flowers are awesome, berries are only out at the highest elevations (must be quicker maturing).

There is a new trail on the North side of Meander Meadow up to the PCT, according to a back-country ranger it is not 'technically' open, he recommend it and we found it to be complete and MUCH MUCH nicer then the old trail up the south side which is a complete mess.
