We made the long hike to Jade Lake over the weekend. This hike has been at the top of my wish list for a long time because so many people have hyped it up. There is no doubt that Jade Lake lives up the hype. Even if the water was normal mountain lake color, it would be an amazing place, but to add the gorgeous Jade colored water makes it even more special.

The trail from Marmot to Jade was difficult, but fairly easy to follow. The only advice I would give to others if that if you come to a section where you are climbing up a small rockface with water running down the face, there is a much easier way to go to the climber's right. We didn't discover this until the trip down.

Challenges Occured:

* The bugs were present but managable.

* Not many good places for #2. Please be conscious to get far away from the lake to take care of your business. There are some signs of others who had been there before us and have not been so careful.
