Communities throughout Washington offer a variety of winter skills courses - on snowshoeing, navigation, avalanche safety and winter camping.

Mountaineers

The Mountaineers offer a wide variety of winter skills courses.  Check out their offerings:

Ridge Explorations

Ridge Explorations is offering free avalanche clinics throughout Washington this winter.

Free Clinics:

Nov. 17 at 7pm:  Enumclaw Senior Center, Cole St, Enumclaw

Nov. 18 at 7pm:  Seattle REI

Nov. 24 at 7pm:  Greenwater Community Center, SR 410, Greenwater

Dec. 1 at 7pm:  Issaquah REI

Dec. 2 at 7pm:  Southcenter REI, Tukwila

Jan. 13 at 7pm:  Seattle REI 

Jan. 14 at 7pm:  Issaquah REI

Jan. 21 at 7pm:  Tacoma REI

Free Avalanche Awareness Classes:
