A perfect wind down
By banana slug
Descending through hemlock & huckleberry I had to keep pausing to admire the western sky. Some days just aren't long enough.

South Coldwater Creek Bulldozer
By lapid8r
The (in)famous bulldozer on South Coldwater Creek trail. This is a bulldozer that was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Saint Helens in 1980. It was part of a logging operation on Coldwater Creek when the eruption occurred. Photo taken September 9, 2012. A fine trail, steep in spots, but not much traffic. I had all kinds of weather that day: overcast, bright sun, rain, drizzle and howling winds. No snow or sleet though.
