The lake was basically iced over ... but there was only alittle bit of snow on the trail up to the lake.
Talapus Lake Reflection

After finding a pair of hiking poles by the lake I decided I would wait for 20 minutes and if nobody showed up I'd take them down to the trail head. While waiting I grabbed my camera and started to take photos of the reflections on the lake. This one was my favorite. And yes, the owner of the poles showed up after about 10 minutes so everything worked out well. The picture is a 3x processed HDR pic I took with my Nikon D90 and 11-16mm Tokina Lens.
