This photo taken from the junction of the Boundary and Hummocks Trails near Mount St. Helens. It was a sunny, and unusually warm January day.
This photo was taken right after sunset where the North Fork of the Skokomish enters into Lake Cushman. Once again we learn that after the sun sets, stick around because the light will become more intense as the camera sees it.

"By day three of a six day trip from Harts Pass to Cutthroat Lake Trailhead, we arrived hot and sweaty at Lower Snowy Lake. The warm weather and shallow water provided incredible swimming. Fully refreshed, we wandered up toward the upper lake to make camp which is when this picture was taken."
