Dosewallips River
The Dosewallips River Road washed out in 2002 and has yet to be rebuilt. We think it is important to get hikers out to take a look at the washout and the road. Photo by Bob and Barb.
Summer Blossom
The Summer Blossom Trail is a stunning ridge ramble, replete with views of the Sawtooth Mountains and lush wildflower meadows. It is one of the few non-motorized trails in a roadless area heavily impacted by dirtbike use.
Juniper Ridge
Juniper Ridge rewards hikers willing to put up with motorcycle ruts. The ridge trail is set in the Dark Divide Roadless Area, which deserves permanent protection.
Gee Point
Gee Point is a lovely hike in a little-known corner of the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, known as the Finney Block. The future of the Finney Block is uncertain, and we want to make certain that hikers know about it and can respond to protect it.
Andrew's Creek
This photo was taken in 2001, after fires ravaged the Andrews Creek drainage. A special appropriation helped rebuild the trail, and hikers will now be able to experience wilderness as it recovers from fire damage while learning about the burden that firefighting places on the recreation budget.
