Hike of the week

Grand Ridge View

Cape Disappointment

Cape Disappointment is a year-round delight, with pounding surf, misty forests, towering bluffs and two majestic lighthouses. There are several hiking options. A WTA favorite is the trail to the North Head Lighthouse where recent Volunteer Vacation crews have built an amazing wooden structure.

On February 1, 50 hiker- activists visited with their state legislators about changes to the Discover Pass as part of WTA's Hiker Lobby Day.

After passing the Senate, the House is now considering legislation to make the Discover Pass transferable between two vehicles.
