The next time you go on a family camping trip, create a checklist to make packing a little easier. After a few outings you'll have a better sense of what to add to your family's checklist to best fit your needs.

Car Camping Checklist
Shelter
  • tent with poles, rain fly, & stakes
  • ground cloth
  • extra tarp & rope

Sleeping
  • sleeping bag
  • sleeping pad
  • optional- blankets
 Meals/Kitchen Equipment
  • cooler & ice
  • food for all meals, in storage containers
  • cooking tools
  • garbage bags
  • biodegradable soap & sponge
  • stove, fuel, & matches
