Hike-a-Thon
188 hikers participated in the 2012 Hike-a-Thon. Collectively they hiked nearly 12,000 miles and raised over $85,000 for trails!
What? Hike-a-Thon is a month-long fundraiser for Washington Trails Association - hikers collect pledges then hit the trail in August to hike.
Why? Because you love hiking! To make your miles count! To protect the trails you love! For the exercise. To get your family out on the trail - or just to motivate you. Funds raised will help WTA advocate for and maintain hiking trails in Washington.
Who? Everyone! Young and old, newbie or thru-hiker, trail volunteer or climber - anyone who loves hiking and hiking trails can participate. Hike as an individual or a team of two to six people.
Check out the Hike-a-Thon Hall of Fame for previous Hike-a-Thon stats.
When? Hike-a-Thon runs the entire month of August. Registration for the 2013 Hike-a-Thon will begin July 1, 2013. Check back next June for more information!
How? Start by registering for the event on July 1, 2013. Then gather pledges from friends and family - they can sponsor you right on our website. On August 1, start hiking!
