WTA's Hiking Guide Expands with Mountaineers Books Partnership
Select content from the Mountaineers Books' "Day Hiking" series is now incorporated into WTA's Hiking Guide. Sales of the full books from our website, which include maps, elevation profiles, photos and more, benefit WTA and help protect and maintain our trails.
Washington Trails Association's popular online Hiking Guide, which features detailed information on over 2500 hiking trails, just got a whole lot better.
Select content from The Mountaineers Books' DAY HIKING series, comprising six titles covering regions from the Olympic Peninsula to the North Cascades, is now incorporated into WTA's online Hiking Guide.
"We are so excited to launch this partnership with The Mountaineers Books and authors that brings well-researched, valuable content directly to our website visitors," said Lauren Braden, WTA's communications director.
"The Mountaineers Books is thrilled to partner with the Washington Trails Association to bring our hiking content online," said Shanna Knowlton, publicist for The Mountaineers Books.
"Even as a traditional book publisher, we recognize the important transition publishers need to make, providing digital content and a strong web presence in addition to our printed books," Knowlton added. "Having many of our signature hikes available online at WTA exposes our authors and their guidebooks to new readers. Tapping into this digital cross-over market is exactly what makes us competitive in today's outdoor- and guidebook categories."
The Mountaineers Books DAY HIKING titles are:
Day Hiking: Olympic Peninsula by Craig Romano
Day Hiking: South Cascades by Dan Nelson and Alan Bauer
Day Hiking: Mount Rainier by Dan Nelson and Alan Bauer
Day Hiking: Snoqualmie Pass by Dan Nelson and Alan Bauer
Day Hiking: Central Cascades by Craig Romano
Day Hiking: North Cascades by Craig Romano
Sales of all titles in the Mountaineers Books' DAY HIKING series benefit WTA and help protect and maintain trails.
"We're proud to be a sponsor of WTA's work, and a partner in providing the best hiking information available for Washington state," said Knowlton.
