THIS 1984 PHOTO OF 1-YEAR-OLD MOLLY GOULDEN RECENTLY RECEIVED HONORABLE MENTION IN THE ‘HIKERS IN ACTION’ CATEGORY OF WASHINGTON TRAILS ASSOCIATION’S NORTHWEST EXPOSURE 2009 PHOTO CONTEST.

On the verge of retirement, Edgewood photographer Jeff Goulden has re-sparked an interest in one of his favorite pastimes.

By digging through old slides of his family’s outdoor escapades, converting them to photographs, and taking new digital shots, he has began to get his work back out in the published world by selling photos through an online stock photography website and submitting to various photo contests.

Goulden’s 1984 photo of his daughter at the dedication of the William O. Douglas Wilderness reserve in Snoqualmie National Forrest recently received honorable mention in the Northwest Exposure 2009 photo contest.

The snapshot featured his daughter Molly, who was 1 year old at the time, decked out in hiking gear.
