According to Sarah Kirkconnell's Trail Cooking blog, Clif Bar has issued a voluntary recall for certain Clif and Luna Bars that contain peanut butter that could be contaminated with salmonella. The recalled products inlcude Clif, ZBaR, MOJO and Luna bars containing peanut butter provided by Peanut Corporation of America.

The recall is part of a wide-ranging nationwide recall of hundreds of products that contain peanut butter that could be contaminated. View the complete list of recalled Clif Bar products here.

Only bars with a certain sell-by date (mostly from summer and fall of 2008) are affected.

So before you pop one of those bars in your mouth on your next outing, check the website to see if it's covered by the recall.
