We did the Burroughs Loop Trail which begins at White River campground. The trail is in good condition as it climbs for almost three miles through the forest. Soon after that we had incredible views of Rainier. The rest of the trail is in great shape. We stopped at Sunrise for a bite to eat via the Sourdough Ridge trail. From Sunrise it is only 3.1 miles to White River and it took us about 45 minutes to get there. Even though the sun was hot this was a great trip with a fabulous close-up look at Rainier.
