What a great day for Ebey’s Landing.
We parked at the upper lot where the vault toilet is clean and stocked.
Trail is in great shape as usual.
Glad I had my sunscreen!
What a day!

Great morning hike at Ebey’s Landing. Despite the cold temps, the wind was calm and the sun was out.

My dog and I started at the Cemetery Road trailhead (Discover Pass req., plenty of parking, privies in great condition). We hiked out to the overlook and turned right onto the Bluff Trail, climbing high above the Puget Sound and returning on the beach to complete loop portion of the hike going counter-clockwise.

The trail is in great condition and the views were superb. Highly recommend this 100 classic washington hike on a clear day in the morning to enjoy the sun bouncing off of the snowcapped Olympics.

Sandy bluff and Sandy/Rock beach.

Parked at the northern trailhead by the cemetery. Walked west to the bluff portion of the route. Proceeded counterclockwise initially going  northwest. A partially sunny day with a northerly wind that minimized waves hitting the beach. We timed our departure for the outgoing tide. The beach is a mix of sand, small and larger stones. It's about two miles from the north beach trail to the southern parking lot. Great views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Admiralty Inlet, Port Townsend and the Olympics as well as the farmland to the east. You're likely to see Bald Eagles and various shore birds.

It's a popular site, but with a moderate tide the beach is wide.

If it's not cloudy, there are good views of the Cascades on the return to the north parking lot. Nearby Coupeville has some nice restaurants and shops to visit as well.

Ran away from the rain and took the ferry to Whidby Island! We did the bluff trail and it ended up being just shy of 4 miles.

The road is paved and there is a small lot or road side parking. Make sure to check the tide schedule if you want to do this trail because you are walking down on the beach for the last mile or so. The sun was trying to poke through today, but no rain!

Lots of eagles and deer out. We made a day out of it and decided to go explore the bunkers at Fort Ebey and Fort Casey before the rain started in the later afternoon hours

Great for the early mornings! Can get very busy later in the day. Either way absolutely beautiful from beginning to end and everywhere in between 🥰 also so many eagles!
