It was so refreshing to go for a walk here! The parking lot was largely empty this rainy Saturday morning. The set up for the winter light show is still going up, and I was grateful, because it looks a bit messy in daylight.
There are very manicured areas to walk through, but I was surprised at how much of it felt like a true hike. Lots of trails along trees, ferns, and moss. The Japanese garden still had lots of beautiful trees with leaves still on the branches.
I can imagine this will be a great place to stretch your legs in winter, but for now I was surprised at how many flowers are still out! I saw some cyclamen, camellia, and fuchsia in particular. It was so great to see flowers even as we enter November.
Was a beautiful sunny day. All flowers were full blooms. Visited the Garden, then did our 1.8 miles trails into the woods. It was very beautiful and peaceful. We pasted by a few people. The flower garden has a lot of people. I got 3 bug bites that was because I was sitting and leaning again a tree for pictures. A gentle hike for all age. We past by a teen biker in the woods. Trail takes around the baseball field which happen to be going on as we pasted by. My girls and I were pretty soars from the day before, so this was a great gentle hike. We would visit the garden & trail again.
Took my family to see the Botanical Gardens on Saturday after a trip to the packed Kelsey Creek Farms sheep shearing event. It was a nice respite after the horde of kids and parents!
This was our first time visiting and found the trails to be a nice and relaxing walk. The curated section of flowers and trees is really nice, especially the Japanese Garden.
Everyone enjoyed the Ravine Experience and the nice suspension bridge! Makes for a great photo spot too as there were several other people taking photos here.
Who would have thought that this gem was within walking distance of downtown Bellevue?! We will be taking my mother in law back here when she visits later this year.
