Hardly any issues on trail. One tree blocking the way in the first mile or two. A few stream crossings but all were easy. A little snow at the lake, but easy to navigate.
Beautiful day with beautiful sights of the valley, the falls, lake and rugged peaks.

What a gorgeous day to be out in the mountains! Mt Index looked stunning, and there is a lot of water at the falls.
I joined a WTA work party constructing a stone staircase on the way to the falls. At lunchtime I enjoyed sitting in the sun and getting waterfall spray. And the sound of the water is amazing.
Another great team of people. Work is continuing over the next few days, so say hello as you go by!

Wet. And wet. 😂 trail is in good shape but with current rain and run-off there’s a lot of water on trail.
Particularly in the last .5 miles after the turnoff from Lake Serene trail as you switchback you also cross back and forth over a decent-sized stream and not all these crossings have reasonable rock-hopping options. Be prepared for wet feet, and enjoy the falls running rampant!
Arrived on Saturday at noon, got the last spot in the lot. A beautiful trail on a rainy day! Very well maintained. Loved the variety of terrain...roots, rocks, water crossings, boardwalks, stairs. Big puddles in the stairs, which can be tricky to navigate going down. Such a quintessential PNW rainy day hike. Only saw two people at the falls. One of my favorites! #HikeTheState

This is one of the most fun trails I’ve done. Lots of little creeks to pass, built in stairs, boardwalks, oh my. There was no snow on the trail and easy to cross the little waterways.
We arrived at 10, took a relatively leisurely pace and got to the falls a little before 11. There were lots of people taking pictures and taking in the view. Took us another hour to get back to the car.
Fyi there was no toilet paper in the one unlocked toilet so bring your own.
