I'm new to hiking so I am starting with short, fairly easy hikes. This definitely falls into that category. First 3/4 of a mile you will have a consistent, moderate grade incline. If you are just starting to get into shape (like me:) you might be a tad winded, however, it doesn't last for long before the trail levels out and then starts to descend towards the falls. As for the trail, it was great. Very well maintained and even though it had been raining most of the day, the trail drained well and I only encountered a couple of muddy spots that I was able to walk around. On my way up, I passed about three groups of people coming down (I started my hike around 1:30pm). On my way down, passed two sets of couples. Overall, a nice way to spend 1 - 1 1/2 hours.
