Ethan & I took an afternoon walk in Cowiche Canyon on this cool, sunny day. We started at the west end and walked down to bridge 7 and back. The trail was packed down enough that we were able to easily boot it without traction devices. We were mostly in the sun on the way down, but on the way back (after 3:00), the trail was mostly in the shade. There wasn't much snow on the trees and shrubs, but it was still a lovely walk. And surprisingly, we had the trail to ourselves on this beautiful afternoon.

I took an afternoon walk in Cowiche Canyon on this partly cloudy, cool day. I started from the east end and walked as far as bridge 8 and back. I had my snowshoes with me, but I could see that there was a nice, solidly packed trail, so I just booted it. I did not use traction devices and had no problem, even with my old boots with very little tread. As you would expect, there were quite a few others out on this beautiful, holiday afternoon.

Jonah & I took a walk in Cowiche Canyon today. We started at the west end and walked just past bridge 7 and back. I snowshoed and he booted it. There was probably a foot or so of light, fluffy snow. We had sun when we started, but it clouded up after about 20 min. There were quite a few others on the trail as the day went on, mostly on skis, but a few other snowshoers as well. The canyon was beautiful with all the fresh snow.

I took a walk in Cowiche Canyon on this partly sunny, cool afternoon. I started at the west end and walked down to bridge 8 and back. The trail was easy walking for the most part, but there were a couple of extended stretches in the shade where the trail was icy and my hiking stick was quite helpful. Depending on how warm it gets, it will probably be like this for a week or so. I had the this part of the trail mostly to myself this afternoon.
