Great, short afternoon hike. Campground is open, plenty of parking at the time (around 4pm). Less than a half dozen people on the trail. Some bugs but not a nuisance. Some flowers in bloom.

Campground is closed, but a number of spots by the gate. Walking through the empty campground is pretty cool, especially on such a sunny, warm day. Felt out of season. In a few short months this campground will be booked full for the rest of the season. Looks like there are quite new fire pits installed.

Just hiked the upper loop to the viewpoint. There are actually a couple view points to view the falls and the rapids from. Really impressive. Overall from car and back was 0.55 miles. Not too crowded.

A really nice stop if you're heading this way.

Happy Trails!

The trail was steep at the beginning and end, but the walk along the river was beautiful. The kids and dog did great, but by the time we reached the end the steep climb was a challenge for the wife. Like a champion, she conquered it anyway.

This is a beautiful quick little hike.  The campground is closed for the winter so park by the gate on 101, and head to the left a few hundred yards to get to the trailhead.  The tiny loop trail leads to peek-a-boo views of the skinny falls.  The lollipop trail drops down a few long series of steps to a large pool at the river.  The picturesque trail then leads upriver through the forest with gentle ups and downs to the loop at the end.  Returning, you'll be surprised just how many steps there are to climb back up to the trailhead!

Campsite closed for renovations but another day walker pointed which way to go. Trails were well maintained and it was beautiful.

This was a last minute, “hey we have a few hours to goof off let’s go see a waterfall” planning the night before with two girlfriends.

Wild Roadies and Seet After Death were in full bloom giving us whiffs of deliciousness through the trail.
