Beware of: trail conditions

Hiked about 3/4 of a mile up the trail. Two very large trees across the trail and snow. Decided to turn around.

Great hike, I've done this hike multiple times now and absolutely love it. Usually there is no one on the trail, but today there was a lot. Trail was in great condition all throughout the hike. Couple of trees over the trail, but nothing difficult. Steady climb along a big creek makes for awesome scenery. At the end of the hike you can see the waterfall, but are not super close to it. In order to get close to it you will need to cross the creek and do some trailblazing to get right up next to the waterfall.

We hiked the Fletcher Canyon trail on Sunday, November 26 after spending the night at a hotel just outside the Olympic National Forest. We found that the ranger stations were closed but were happy to see that the trail was still open. Rain was light to moderate during the entire hike making for some slippery spots along the trail. We both ended up with very wet feet we had to cross some small creeks and very muddy parts of the trail. This was a steady uphill grade for the out portion of the hike, and this included some challenging and narrow rocky spots and downed trees across the trail. There were great views of the river below and beautiful greenery all through the hike. This was a pretty challenging hike, and we were cold and wet by the end, but we had a great time and would definitely recommend this hike! Just make sure you're prepared for a lot of steep uphill climbing, and the scenic hike will be worth the effort.

Beware of: road, trail conditions

Arrived around 9am. There was a good amount of water on the road, including one patch about 20' long and up to 6" deep. On the way back after the hike the water had come down to just a couple of inches.

There was a good "stream" crossing right at the start that was more of a pond. We went around it through the thicket.

We hiked to the log crossing at 2.4 miles in. The water was high and the log crossing did not look like a good idea so we turned around there.
