we arrived at the trailhead about 8 am, and we only came across 3 other hikers, so it was very quiet. Pretty easy and beautiful hike. It was snow free, and very windy. With so few hikers combined with the wind you could hear the trees shaking and creaking the whole time. 10/10 if you're looking for something quick, beautiful, and easy.

Trail is well-defined and in good condition. Plenty of parking mid-week, but still plenty of people around and on the hike. One of the vault toilets is open, the other is locked for the season.

Went up Garfield Ledges in the same trip I did Stegosaurus Butte. Great views, awesome forest, and the trail is in great shape/awesome -- I'd love to come back sometime.

Able to sneak out of the "to-do" list for a quick trip to enjoy a rare day of sunshine along the Middle Fork. Before starting up to the Ledges, spoke with a guy aglow with just coming back from Goldmeyer hotsprings. Said he drove to the TH at Dingford Creek, then walked 5 miles to the bridge over the river to access the hotsprings. In his high clearance truck, the 6 mile road took him 45 minutes ... gulp, I guess I won't be driving there, myself, in my SUV 😞

The trail to the ledges is wide and well-maintained. Watched sunset from the top, captured this video. Then, leisurely return to the TH. The forest is beautiful, lush and welcoming. A fine respite from my desk! Vault toilets are clean and stocked. Deep potholes in the short stretch of gravel road that leads to the ample parking area at the TH.

Great way to stretch your legs close to the city with a lovely payoff after just 1.1 miles. Trail in great condition.
