Plenty of parking at the trailhead. There's two toilets there-- a regular one (which was well stocked) and a portapotty.

We started up the Holder Ridge trail, but soon turned back because we were passed by about three dozen cub scouts and company. Rather than share the trail, we went the other way, up Road A and then to Holder Knob. Towards the top, the trail loops around the knob and the picnic area at the summit. Gaia said there was a trail that cut across, but walking along the south side of the knob we didn't notice it. Instead we looped around to the north side, where the junction was clear. The picnic table at the top was a great spot for a snack, though there wasn't much of a view. Out of curiosity, I followed the trail south, hoping to intersect the main trail, but it got too small and covered in blackberries for my comfort. On the way back, we saw it, and you could take it, but it's not going to save you much time.

We came back down the Holder Ridge trail, and encountered two groups of lovely horses. At one point, there's a side trail that leads to another picnic table, but again, there's not much of a view as the trees have grown up.

Not the most spectacular of hikes, but still a nice way to spend the day after Thanksgiving with some friends.

The trail was well maintained and had good signage. We went up Road A to the Knob then came down Holder Ridge. An absolute ton of horse dookie, watch your step!

The hike was beautiful and moderately easy. We brought our dog and he enjoyed the pace and scenery of the hike. The trail was clear of trash. Hikers are packing out their trash, which is really nice. Not many places to sit and rest, but there are plenty of spots to pull over to get a drink or have a snack before continuing the hike.

Trail is in good condition - all blowdowns were cleared, and there was only a bit of mud. Part of the trail is gravel. We came up the Holder Ridge Trail and down the road. Limited views, though we did catch a glimpse of Rainier through the trees. Overall a good leg-stretcher; 4 miles, 700 ft elevation gain.
