Walked the lake loop with baby and a dog mid-day. It took us about 1 hr. 40 minutes for ~2.6 miles even with stops for baby to eat and for the dog to run around at the dog park briefly. Trail is well maintained and wide for a lot of sections. When we got to the southeast part of the lake, there was some icy/light snow dusting on the trail but not bad at all. We pushed baby in our running stroller. Pretty much all flat around the lake with just one hill that I remember.

Lots of parking and all the bathrooms seemed to be open. Used the one at north end of park and it was clean and stocked.

Lots of geese and ducks. Also saw a heron in the lake.

If I lived nearby, this would be a great place for trail running.

TUE 22nov2022 ~07:30, "broke" my car-camping at Larrabee State Park. And seeing the weather forecast that its drizzle/rain for the morning over much of W WA, including Bellingham, i took the opportunity to have a fun "walk in the rain" by driving to the nearby Lake Padden Park.

~07:45, i was the 3rd to arrive at the Lake Padden Park West parking. i did a CCW loop: T > Loop Trail > "Hillside" Trail > Loop Trail > T. Nice views of Lake Padden, and the woods in the "Hillside" Trail.

Understandably, the Trails were wet from the intermittent drizzle/rain.The Trails were in good condition and seemed well-maintained. And the Restrooms were opened and very clean; many thanks to the Bellingham Park Maintenance folks 👍).

The intermittent drizzle/rain did not deter the (total of) ~20 people (meguess "Locals" - from the Bellingham area) and 3 dogs that i encountered; everyone was cheery, courteous and friendly - and having fun .. 👍

Happy Trails Everyone 🙃

nice trail and well maintained. The bathrooms were clean and open. No trash. The water was beautiful and so was the breeze. 3 miles around the lake.

My first trip to Lake Padden and I'll be back.  Lots of groups including people of all ages as well as kids and dogs.  There are a few trees that have come down but they are all cut up and off the trail.

The trail is in great shape with really only one spot where water covers most of the path, but there is any easy go-around.

Had to check out the local parks after the wind and rain storm. Lots of small branches down, but only one major block on the trail along Padden Creek.

Water levels still a bit low for photography, but the colors are beginning to turn.

Grateful to live so close to two beautiful parks.
