Great groomed trails for both skaters and classic. Sled hill was busy today. Alot of downed trees from the snow storm earlier in the year but alot has been done to clear it out of the way to allow for snow fun. Thanks State Park for all your hard work. Looks like a huge group of overnight campers also staying at the park. Beautiful day for skiing and sitting along the shore in the sun for some lunch.

Decided to snowshoe up the Little Wenatchee River road from the gate and see how far we got. Made it the 3 miles to the junction with the Lookout road, but just barely. There are MANY trees down over the roadway, some have been sawed through, but many have not. What a job they will have come Spring! Got a little uneasy when a tree snapped off about 40 yards back and crashed down to the road, very near the tracks we had just made. Too much heavy snow up high. All in all, a great little outing.

After setting up camp at the park, we hiked the lake trail which was mainly level. The fall color was very pretty even though rain and wind had removed some of the leaves from the trees and bushes. The park brochure states there are 7.7 miles of hiking trails.
