This trail has been on my list for quite some time. I finally got a chance to head down there from Seattle with my sister. The drive was nice and long , but worth it. We enjoyed every bit of our hike. It was pretty easy, and more like a stroll along the river and through the forest. The lower waterfall gets everyone's attention, but my favorite was the middle waterfall. The only thing is I wish that I'd jumped in the water (it was freezing cold), that I'd brought some water shoes (helps with crossing the river to get to the lower falls area), and that I'd camped in the campgrounds overnight...Oh well! Next time!

Had a wonderful hike from the Lower Falls to the Upper Falls. Perfect temperature, along the beautiful Lewis River, and great trail with rolling ups and downs. I’d guess it took me about 6 miles total to hike to the upper Falls with a few spurs down to the river for better vantage points.

One of my favorite campgrounds in Washington is Lewis river falls. Unfortunately we were only able to spend 1 night here and when we arrived at 3pm sunday, the lower falls were PACKED with people. We opted to hike up river and see the other falls instead while waiting for the over crowded day visitor lot to clear out some.
After a bbq dinner took a beverage down to the falls just before sunset and it had nicely cleared out. Truly an amazing site every time I see it.
This morning we woke up and took our coffee down to the base of the falls and was shocked to see we had it all to ourselves. Enjoyed our coffee below the falls in the sun and then spent an hour or so above them on the rocks.
Already wanting to go back ...
Happy Trails!
