Finished off my West Seattle perimeter tour (part 4) at Lincoln Park. I didn't wander down to the water since I walked the full length of the shore before then and I didn't want to make up the extra 100'+ (my feet were hurting from bad insoles/socks/pavement beating). There weren't a ton of flowers in bloom, but Spanish bluebells and some pink blossoming trees were visible throughout the higher portion of the park. Plus I got to make the acquaintance of a curious squirrel when walking along the path.

It was fun walking up the Thistle St Stairs. Tons of Spanish Bluebells, some tulips, and some pretty early pandemic art from a local artist was along the walkway.

More fun visiting a new area of my neighborhood.

Having read a KUOW-NPR 09jan2022 news report of " Sea level on steriods: Record tides flood Washington coastlines .. Port Townsend, Seattle, and Tacoma on (last) Friday .. ", this (12jan2022 TUE) morning, i went to Lincoln Park .. hoping to see the, if any record breaking High Tide at Lincoln Park beach.

Waited patiently beside the Lincoln Park beach, from before the forecast High Tide time of ~12:11, until ~12:30, but i only saw calm water .. 😆 .. On retrospect, perhaps, i shouldn't expect to see any "swollen waves" at Lincoln Park beach - cos "this" is within the (sheltered) Puget Sound?

Anyway, its still ok for me to not get to see any "record breaking High Tide" cos then there's no flooding and damages of properties in this Area 😅

Anyway, i did had some fun earlier this morning. After i arrived at the Lincoln Park Parking Lot 1 (Free Parking, and only ~30% full) at ~10:00, i went and walked the nearby Thistle Street Stairs (350 Stairs). The Stairs and the surrounding area seemed well-maintained, safe and clean. i encountered 2 other person walking up & down the Stairs .. They probably doing their Physical Exercise 👍

After which, i had a leisure stroll in Lincoln Park. i noticed "more" people, young, Old-is-Gold, solo, pair(s), families, groups of friends, a few people were walking their dogs, .. and there's a young woman teaching her son how to fish (at Lincoln Park beach) .. 👍😀 It was nice to see so many people out and about doing their own "thing" and having fun. And i helped rid the beach of 2 tennis balls 😀 Btw, the Restrooms at Coleman Pool was Closed for the Season. Lincoln Park seemed well-maintained, safe and clean too 👍

Stats (Thistle Stairs and Lincoln Park): ~3.7 mi 2:30

Went for an early neighborhood jog to Lincoln Park since I didn’t have time or energy to go out to Issaquah or North Bend.

Lots of flowers are in bloom around Fauntleroy and the park (bluebells, rhodies, Japanese cherry), birds are out (juncos, robins, and spotted a gold eagle).

The tides raking their fingers over the rocks was soothing.

As a bonus the Brothers were visible and a ferry launched nearby when I arrived.

Decent sized park in Seattle. You can walk around the forest-y areas or by the water. Took the trail to the water front and walked to the end of the trail. Only took about 30-45 minutes.
