This park has a lot of connector trails going through some tall trees, and if you go deep enough, it gives you the sense you're a bit distant from the city. The most rewarding part for me was the coastline. I could see the neighboring island, but while I was there, the view was slowly taken over by some fog, which was nice to see. There is a lot of driftwood and rocks that are nice foreground elements if you're into photography.

Fun walk with a toddler as long as they can tolerate some steepish stairs on the way back up. We walked with our 2.5yo from the main parking area down to the Fauntleroy ferry terminal, along the waterfront path to Colman Pool and then back up the wooded trails. The parking lot is still closed due to Covid restrictions, but you can park basically right there on Fauntleroy Way.
Ran this trail on May 31st 2020, my second visit of the year. I usually come to Lincoln Park to enjoy the water view but on this day I tried the elevating trail that took me to the center of the park where the playground was, which was refreshing. The trail was very well-maintained. Totally recommend everyone to walk/run/hike this trail. You can do it in a loop.
