The park is beautiful, with several trails offering a view of the ocean. There are a lot of side trails, however it is decently hard to get started with them. There are not many side trails off of the main trails, and so you have to find a side-ish trail in order to find side trails. There were a few huckleberry plants with berries on them.

Did some of Lincoln Park today with my daughter! I did this with her stroller, so it's definitely stroller friendly. We went down to the paved path along the water, and then up the trail right before the Colman Pool. This is a short trail up, but does have a few roots and is quite the workout pushing a stroller, backpack and toddler. That part will probably only work if you have a good jogging stroller.
After that short incline, the trail becomes flat again, with many side trails along the way. We went along the view trail until we came to a sign for trail #2 on the left, and took that until we came to the picnic tables and baseball field.
It was great to get outside and so nice to find another place that's stroller friendly. The park was relatively empty with a few joggers and a few artists painting in the park. This is a gem in West Seattle.

Walked the Lincoln and Fauntleroy Park trails on this beautiful Easter morning. The two parks are only a few blocks apart - from the southern Lincoln Park lot just walk down Fauntleroy Way and up SW Wildwood Pl to the park entrance at the rear of the Fauntleroy Church parking lot. Parking is easy and free at the Lincoln Park lots and other than a bit of mud in the Fauntleroy Park ravine all trails are in great shape. Restrooms appear to be open in Lincoln, no facilities available in Fauntleroy.
Fauntleroy Park feels bigger than it really is. It’s one of the few urban forests you can get turned around in along it’s tangle of official and non-official trails. We did a “just keep turning left until we can’t anymore” route and walked pretty much all of the stubs, switchbacks, alternate entrances, etc. Many early spring flowers and birds are out. Lots of skunk cabbage - though hard to tell if the smell was the plant or left over haze from 4:20 day yesterday... One final really neat wildlife sighting - there was a big old scruffy looking raven hanging out in a cedar right above the entrance to the Fauntleroy Church being very vocal as folks were singing during the Easter services - >grok, grok, grok, click, whistle, grok, grok” etc - maybe singing along with the church service? Maybe trying to explain his alternate origin myth? Neat stuff.
Lincoln Park forest and beach trails were busy with families and folks out for a walk. Super nice views across to Vashon and Blake Islands and north all the way to Alki. The forest on top of the bluff is open and has a bunch of really nice maple and madrone trees. A pair of bald eagles was circling really high above the bluff. Walking along the beach I did get harassed by a little hooligan crow - it followed me halfway up the beach and took a couple swipes at my hat. I stopped and we talked out our differences and it went on it’s way.
The Original Bakery on the corner of Wildwood and 45th makes a nice post walk recovery snack. A beautiful Easter morning.
