Beware of: trail conditions

Great hike, even in misty weather. I went for a quick jaunt with my sister. We hadn't been in a couple of years. We discovered a new trail named "Ear Therapy" (near the beaver ponds) and it lived up to its name. A stream next to the trail was running full and healthy, providing gushing water sounds for the entire trail's length. Beautiful! Don't miss that one! There was mud on the trail in many places. Some of the mud was deep or had standing water. My sister tripped in a foot-deep hole going down to the Beaver Ponds. Be careful. The wonderful thing about Lord Hill Park is that you can spend an hour - or an entire day - exploring the park. It's crowded during the weekend, but if you go during a cloudy morning, it's not bad.

This place was recommended by a guy I met in another park, it was a good walk. Trails are pretty poorly marked but good views!

  • Hiked with a dog

Started 2017 hiking with Lord Hill. Went with a coworker and her pug. Tried to find one of the lookouts and got turned around but enjoyed it none the less. (We eventually found it). Was a good day weather wise for it and great trails for all fitness levels. I would recommend coming early if going on a weekend. We came in at 8:30 am with just 3 other cars and by the time we left around 11:30 there was no parking available.

It was a nice afternoon for a hike with the pups. We didn't go too far into the park as our schedule left us only a little daylight. The park was a little muddy in places, bur the little dog got through it and we had a fun time!
