Whew, all up hill!!

Watch for SugarStick plants, red and white striped (no chlorophyll) along the trail.  This is the first year I have seen them and they have been on two different trails!

Other flowers blooming, some starting to fade.

Good day, take a pole, the downhill is a knee killer!!

This one can be a little rough. The incline seems to increase the closer you get to the top. Great for conditioning, and/or working on your pace.

Great hike and lots of friendly people. Worth the drive from Seattle. If you are looking for REAL water views, be sure to go to the South Viewpoint. It is definitely worth the extra steps.

First time for me

Trail in good condition. Steep grade, i see why its an intermediate level hike.

Lots of Rhodies, not in bloom yet. Some awasome scenery near and far.

Take plenty of water!!!!! No water source so lighten the pack and leave the filtration system in the car.

No potty at trailhead so go before you get there. Adding one would be a great idea.  The one pit toilet I used on North side needs attending. Can't speak for the others.

If your wondering about a hike, do this one. Remember 10-20% grade going back down if you have knee problems.
