It was a beautiful sunny day to hike Mount Walker!

The trail was in good condition.  Parking was easy to locate. Follow the sign "Mount Walker View" off on Highway 101.  The parking area will be on your left after you pass through the gate (call the Quilcene Ranger Station if you are unsure if the gate will be open or not).  The trail starts on the right side of the road, opposite of the parking area.  The trail lets out at the North Viewpoint.  You can walk along the road to view the South Viewpoint.

There are pit toilets at the top at each viewpoint.  However, when I visited, there was no toilet paper.  Luckily I had some in my hiking pack.  There was hand sanitizer provided in the outhouses though, which was a nice touch.

At the lower elevations, the rhododendrons are starting to bloom.  Get out there within the next few weeks to see them!

There are views of Seattle, Mt. Townsend, Mount Baker and Mount Rainier!

Beautiful hike! Nothing but switchbacks but worth every step. We took the road back down so my pup could go off leash some but be cautious as people were driving way to fast down the windy road (almost hit me and my pup a couple times even though we were off to the side)

This was a great intermediate/moderate hike. The road leading to the trailhead was in good condition, and the trail itself was well-maintained and easy to follow. The steady incline all the way to the top is something to be prepared for, but it's nothing impossible. Mother Nature gave us a good view of a cloud when we reached the north look out, but I'm sure it's gorgeous on clear days.

Great hike with amazing views at the top. Lots of switchbacks but a good few hours of exercise and well worth the trek to the top. Small bench at the top to sit and have a snack and take in the views. The low fog didn't allow us to see the Seattle and Tacoma skylines but it was still worth it.
