Back to Mt Walker. The weather held for a nice hike. A little color at the summit. This hike always reminds me that I need to practice more! Another great day on the trail.

I did this hike with my little siblings(10,14) they had some difficulty considering the trail is pretty steep all the way to the top but it was a very pretty trail. there is snow at the top and along a good portion of the trail so be careful and wear appropriate footwear.

Great rainy day for a hike. There is road to the top which is currently closed. Few obstacles resulting from storm the previous night.

A large group of WTA volunteers spent the day touching up the trail on Mt. Walker. Many of the area hikers are familiar with this trail as being a great place to work on winter conditioning since it is very easy to access (parking along Highway 101 south of Quilcene), the steepness of this trail (2000' elevation gain in 2 miles), and the great condition of the trail. There are no trees currently down on the trail and the trail tread is in excellent condition.

Mt. Walker took my breathe away, and it wasn't just at the top. The trail was in great condition, and unfortunately no sun breaks to see the view. I'll definitely be using this trail in the summer for a conditioner! The gate was closed at this time so we parked outside the gate.
