The parking lot is small and hard to find spots at both the lots.
There are lot of ripe salmonberry on the trail. bugs were not too bad if you keep on moving.
Only saw three other groups while we were on the loop as we did it counterclockwise.
The walk near the oxbow lake was very calming and provided required solitude. I thought I saw a beaver but couldn't verify it when we were closer to lake.
Lot of wildflowers on the trail keeps you engaged while you in thick forest.
The views are best from the access trail to loop from east lot. The spot for best view of valley is less 100 feet from the parking lot.

There are two small lots for this hike just after mile post 7. Privy at the latter lot is open.
An easy, relaxing jaunt near the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River. Flat trail, easy to follow, well signed. One garter snake sighting. Salmonberries are on their way. Many kids out and about.
One word of caution - there may some stinging plants along the trail. We felt some sharp pains on our legs after brushing up against some plants near the side of the trail. Long pants might be a good idea.
Overall, a nice leg stretcher!

Beautiful day in the Middle Fork but wanted to write a report noting that one or two trees across the road from the large parking lot with the privy will likely fall down soon. They were creaking in the very minor wind today. Just wanted to make a note here in case they may fall across the road or into the Oxbow Loop parking lot. The trees are rather close to perpendicular to the privy, so I parked at the far end of the lot in case the trees came down today. They did not, but were still creaking on my way out.

A beautiful Memorial Day, and the Mailbox Peak trailhead was overflowing at 9:30am, cars all along the road, and the same at Granite Creek. But there was space at both Oxbow Loop lots and a wonderful morning for that short hike. A few mosquitoes, but nothing serious. Also plenty of space in the Middle Fork parking lot at 11am.
