We arrived at 7:15 with plenty of parking. It looks like mainly only some mountain bikers were here. Bathrooms and trash were in good condition. For the most part, the hiker trail and biker trail are separate and only cross each a few times. Everyone was respectful. We went up to Grand Prospect view point. The benches are there but we didn’t see an info sign as indicated in the hike description.

The trailhead was very busy with mountain bikers, overflowing down the street, but when I arrived at noon there were several great spots open. The hiking trail sees FAR less traffic than the bike trails, we saw a decent number of trail runners but not many hikers. The grade is pretty consistent and even flat at times, it never felt steep on the ascent. The view at the end is a sweeping view of North Bend, Mount Si and the other surrounding peaks. You could even see Baker off in the distance. I would definitely do this hike again.

I started out a little after 7am. The trail is in great condition, not too many rocks or roots. It was quite windy for most of my trip. I don't know if that's normal for this trail as it was my first time on this trail. There weren't many people on the way up. However, there were quite a few people on the way down, and the parking lot was overflowing when I returned. My round-trip was about three hours. Great hike with a gentle elevation gain and beautiful views at the top.
Great hike on a sunny day. The trail was smooth and easy to follow through to Grand Prospect. There are flowers but it’s more like a cute sprinkling of them here and there-pinks, yellows, and whites.
The turnoff to Stan’s lookout is earlier than 2.5 miles - by my sunto more like 1.9. It’s at a 5 or 6 way junction with biking trails, and the sign to it isn’t facing the uphill hiker. We weren’t paying attention and blew by it on the way up.
A man at the top told us that a half mile beyond Grand Prospect is another view w Rainier. We had our 5 year old in tow and knew that adding more mileage was not going to happen, but we were sad to miss it.
