Hiked over into Farrel McWhirter Farm along Charlotte's Trail and then a part of the Perimeter Loop with a stop at the tire swing and the farm animals.  Started early and it was already hot.  Plenty of parking at the farm today.

Walked the Redmond Power Line Trail from Willows Road, across the Sammamish Valley, over Education Hill and down to Farrel-McWhirter Farm and Juel parks.  Total out and back distance including a side trip up to Juel Park is about 8.2 miles with about 300' net, (700' gross,) vertical.  The route is largely suburban and the trail is mostly hard packed gravel and dirt with a few paved sections and is shared with equestrians and a few cyclists.  There are some nice views of the Sammamish Valley, the Bear Creek drainage on the other side of Education Hill with a few nice territorial views both east and west.  There are still bunches of ripe black berries along the way and a few late season wildflowers.   All road crossings are marked, though be careful at Avondale, (5 lanes and higher speeds.)  The short side trip north to Juel Park is worth the extra 10 minutes - nice second gen forest and a huge disc golf field!
