While the trail was good in both condition and atmosphere, it is not a place for sneakers. Boots are a recommendation as its muddy and can be slippery. We did a 4.5 mile walk through the trails which were very clear and hard to miss. Some water was on the trail so waterproof boots would be even better.

Lots of foliage to photograph as well as I found a leaf thinking it was still Halloween. Due to the rain everything has become very green and vibrant and it was a nice sight to see. The water was clear and we saw some ducks in the water.

While the trail is in good condition, it's often a damp and sometimes muddy trail--so a good place for hiking boots rather than sneakers.  We did about 4.5 miles total in our outing--and I was happy to find lots of fungi to photograph.  We should've gotten one of the trail maps before setting out but we did manage to find our way back to the car.  There is a link to my photos in the full report section.

Took this hike around 3:00 with a friend. It is a beautiful hike with trails of varying lengths. We enjoyed the last of the falling leaves. This hike is great for anyone that wants an fun run or walk. We hiked the Treefrog loop and I suggest it to families with children. It was short but very beautiful and had two boardwalk bridges from what we saw. The trail was littered with horse droppings and there was some mud, nothing to worry about but watch your step. Overall, a very nice hike with beautiful scenery.

Beware of: trail conditions

A rainy Saturday morning and had this popular waking area almost to myself. And one deer. Just a few couples running the trail and a few other walkers.
The nice thing about walking in the forest in the rain is that only every other raindrop hits you so you don’t get as wet.
Did a loop up the Trillium trail and then back the pipeline trail. One place on power line trail where there is a blown down tree but it can easily be walked around. Otherwise trail is wet and muddy, but not so much as to make the walk difficult

What a beautiful place to walk. Fall foliage abounds. The trails are wide and well marked with maps posted along the way if you forget to take a picture at the parking lot. With the week of rain there were lots of large puddles taking up the whole trail. Prepare to be muddy but overall the trail is in great shape. Saturday morning we were one of 5 cars and only passed a few others on the trail.
