This is a good place if you're starting your hiking journey. I'm very out of shape and a little overweight, and found it to be a good area to get my heart rate up. We spent about 2 hrs on about 5 miles of trail - many of the trails loop and there's maps everywhere if you want a specific trail. Parking lot on the north end is pretty small but there was plenty of room on a cloudy / sprinkling day. Lots of fungi to view if that's something you like seeing

Quick walk around the Redmond Watershed trails Sunday morning.  Our route was counter-clockwise from the north parking lot with out and back excursions to the northwestern pond, the ADA pond loop on the south end and out along the old logging railroad grade at the northeast corner to where it connects with the Redmond Ridge trail system.  Total mileage for this route is approximately 5.9 with just 250’ gross vertical.  Parking is easy and free at both the north and south lots.  The restroom at the south lot was open and in good condition.  The trails are in excellent condition - the park rangers do a super nice job.  Note - the bear siting warning is still up though we did not personally see any indication of bear activity, (though some coyote sign.)

Not much wildlife out today but the forest is beautiful.  Condolences to a couple young women who I think must have flip flopped their norths and souths and ended up at the north parking lot rather than doing a loop back to the south lot where their vehicles was parked - had to let them know they were about as far away from their car as possible which was going to make them late for their next appointment…  On a more positive note - don’t miss what remains of an original cut and cover culvert along the trail in the very northeast corner of the park.  The modern trail follows the old railroad grade and you can still see the huge cedar timbers the logging railroad used to build it, (now spanned by a modern pedestrian type structure.)

Tons of parking and currently a black bear warning right at the start of the trail. Tons of clear signage and plenty of opportunity for wooded or open grassy trail. This is easy to start and finish a half mile loop, or you can be in here for miles. It appears to have recently have had a ton of cleared down trees so the path was extremely open and pleasant to walk on. I only ran into 6 people after a 6 o'clock workday, and they all seemed to be locals getting their daily exercise near their houses.

Parked at the North Parking lot and went to the Collins Creek trail and Kari's Bog Trail. The trails in Redmond Watershed were all great, no mud or obstacles and not too many rocks. I've been to other parts and know it's basically the same there too. On sunny Friday evening there were surprisingly few people there. The signs at Redmond are also great, they have signs at every intersection, sometimes several, hard to get lost here.

WARNING: On June 10th 2021 there was a black bear mom and cub sighting within Redmond Watershed, be safe.

Took a nice trail run today. I made a 1.5-mile loop starting from the north entrance, then following the Pipeline Trail, Collin Creek Trail, and Siler's Mill Trail. Trails are in great shape! There are signs of recent maintenance including cut logs and trimmed back vegetation. Well-done to the maintenance folks after the wind storms we've had over the past year!
