We hiked this on Saturday morning around 10:30am. It was wonderful. Our 2 eight-year-old boys loved it. Blueberries & Salmon berries are ripe. only other hikers we saw were at the trailhead coming in as we were leaving.

Great short trail! Took me around 15 minutes with plenty of photo breaks. This trail should be able to be completed by anyone regardless of capability.

One thing to keep in mind is the boardwalk can become a little slippery when wet, but that's it! Enjoy a walk through an old-growth forest and learn something new from the information boards along the trail!

The trail is in good condition and is a mix of wood boardwalks and compact dirt.

It is a short walk and would be a good addition to any other hikes or walks you do.

Old growth trees, some are 700 years old.

Insightful. Informative. The trail is in great condition.

This little half mile loop trail has an abundance of information regarding old growth forests and why their importance matters.

After there Park Butte trek, I stopped in here for a little leg stretcher before I headed back to the Casa. Two other people were on the trail.

Some fallen trees but they seemingly missed the boardwalk. Giant Douglas firs line the trail with mossy sentinels scattered about.

If you need a little warm up or a cool down after a long day in the North Cascades and you have a little extra time, drop in. It's pretty peaceful.

On our way home after exploring the area, we stopped at Shadow of the Sentinels. This is a great little trail. It’s really short and only took us about 10 minutes. The boardwalks are so nice. Lots of ripe red and mountain huckleberries along the trail. Peak a boo views of Mount Baker, too. Highly recommend!
